Egg Drop Challenge!

For the Whetu challenge this week we did an Egg Drop Challenge the goal for this was to make something to stop your egg from smashing when we dropped it off the grandstand. I did it with Janko and Patrick. The hardest part was to make our egg not break, but unfortunately, it did. The best part was watching everyone else's smash. The easiest part was making our creation. I enjoyed doing this task.

Maths Mahi Investigation.

This is my Maths Mahi for this week. To do this we had to cut out circles and then put different cuts into each of them, after that we had to guess what the would look like. For task 1 we had to fold it into quarters and on task 2 we had to fold it into eights.

This is my Matariki work for this week, we had to draw symbols for the different stars. The hardest part was cutting everything out because it took a long time and the easiest part was gluing them on.

Maths Mahi: Investigation.

This is my Maths Mahi investigation. for this, we had to move or take away rods to make certain amounts of squares. The hardest part was doing number five because the was a little square in the main square, the easiest part was doing question number one because we just needed to take away four rods to leave one big square. I enjoyed doing this and it was quite hard.

Full Matariki jigsaw puzzle.

This is my full Matariki jigsaw puzzle that I made. It has got last week's puzzle pieces on it as well and it took Quite a long time to cut them out. The hardest part about this was cutting out the pieces and gluing them on because I didn't glue them very straight, the Easiest part was finding out the facts and colouring them in even though it took a long time to colour in.

Term 2 reflection.

My Term 2, 2020 Reflection

The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is the Maths Mystery because it is quite fun and I like solving problems like that.

Something that has challenged me this term has been the Matariki jigsaw puzzle because I don’t know much about Matariki.

The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the Tennis Ball Tower Challenge where we had to make a tower out of newspaper and sellotape to hold up a tennis ball. We worked in groups and we had to work together to get the best results.

The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was doing the P.E. in the hall because I like to do exercise and it is fun doing it.

An aim I have for my learning is to put more things on my blog every week and not just the must do’s. I don’t think that I have been putting enough on my blog lately.
